OFFICIAL: LaLiga confirms the schedule for Barça's matches in January

FC Barcelona already knows the dates and times of its two LaLiga matches for the month of January. The culés will visit Getafe a week before hosting Valencia, marking the return to competition for a Barça that ended 2024 in crisis, with only one victory in the last seven matches. Before the clash against the 'azulones', the team led by Hansi Flick must attend to two commitments in the Copa del Rey (Barbastro) and the Supercopa de España (Athletic).

The match against Getafe is scheduled for 21:00 hours on Saturday, January 18, while the duel against Valencia will be on Sunday the 25th, also at 21:00h at the Estadio Olímpico Lluís Companys. Previously, the debut in the Copa is pending next Saturday, January 4, at 19:00h in Huesca. After that, Barça will travel to Arabia for the 'semis' of the Supercopa, on Wednesday the 8th at 20:00h.

Barça will return to action in LaLiga on January 18

Thus, Barça will return to action in LaLiga with the visit to the always uncomfortable Getafe. Last season, the culés drew goalless at the Coliseo Alfonso Pérez (0-0), while the last encounter against the 'azulones' ended with a narrow victory for the blaugrana (1-0). After the match against Getafe, Barça will travel to Lisbon to face Benfica on Tuesday the 21st at 21:00h.

Five days later, it’s time to host Valencia in Montjuïc. January ends on Wednesday the 29th with the clash against Atalanta (21:00h), corresponding to the eighth matchday of the Champions league group stage. In total, there could be 8 matches that the team led by Hansi Flick will have to play in just 25 days to kick off 2025.
