The Treasury rules out arbitration aid to Barça through payments to Negreira

New details emerge from the investigation into the 'Negreira case'. The Spanish Prosecutor's Office had already been warned in April 2022 by the Tax Agency about the null incidence in LaLiga results due to possible payments to the referees

Inland revenue follows looking for evidences for esclarecer the relation between the FC Barcelona and the ex vice-president of the Technical Committee of Referees (CTA) José María Enríquez Negreira, as well as the possible incidence of the payments made by the managerial culé to the also ex referee in results of LaLiga. In this sense, a report made by the Agency Tributaria in April of 2022 already had determined that the club did not look for to alter results paying to the Spanish referees.

The report, indicates the agency 'EFE', checks that the Barça himself paid 7.5 million euros to Negreira between 2001 and 2018, but only represent a "economic activity accredited" and this does not represent proof any regarding that it could influence in the results. Initially, Inland revenue and the Fiscalía were convinced of the presumptive "tending performances to favour to the FC Barcelona in the taking of decisions of the referees in the parties that contested" as a result of the relation confidence with the leader of the CTA.

The doubts of Inland revenue persist

Further of the fault of concrete evidences on referee's helps and alter of parties, Inland revenue keeps the lupa in the relation between the managerial culé and Enríquez Negreira. The "fault of accreditation and explanation" gives indications of an extra profit perceived by the Barça, apart from the supposed referee's reports full of errors spread in past days. Nevertheless, the payments "have not remained accredited in the procedure inspector" and neither there are evidences on other abonos to referees of LaLiga.

The common account of DASNIL 95, where the FC Barcelona credited good part of his payments to Negreira, withdrew a total of 557.871,52 euros in cash of the 1,6 million euros that received via deposit between 2016 and 2018. In total, the Fiscal Ministry ensures that the ex vice-president of the CTA received more than 7.5 million euros along 17 years, with which the parts would have incurred in three crimes continued: corruption between individuals in the sportive field, disloyal administration and falsity in mercantile document.

The other signalled by the Fiscalía

On the incurrimiento continued in the crimes mentioned, the Fiscalía keeps his suspicions on Sandro Rosell and Josep Maria Bartomeu, the exdirector general of the entity Óscar Grau and the exdirector of Professional Sports Albert Soler, in addition to Enríquez Negreira. Joan Laporta also has been signalled, but Negreira admitted that it always kept alone contact with Rosell and 'Barto'.
