According to 'El Confidencial', Lamine Yamal is the fifth youngest player in the history of FC Barcelona to make his debut in an official match with the Blaugrana team. According to the Spanish newspaper, the record belonged to Armand Martínez Sagi, who made his debut as a Barça player on November 14, 1920 at just 14 years and 200 days old.

However, the Catalan forward who died in July 1997 in Uruguay allegedly falsified his date of birth (April 28, 1906), as he was actually born six years earlier. With this, the absolute record for precocity at Barça is in the hands of Alfredo Gil Porta, who played his first official match with the Barça shirt on March 4, 1906, at 15 years, 1 month and 23 days old.

Both Gil Porta and Martínez Sagi had very brief stints at the club. The former played just three official matches between 1905 and 1908, without scoring a goal, while the footballer whose date of birth is in doubt wore the Barça shirt on 14 occasions between 1919 and 1926, with a total of 6 goals scored.
