Luis de la Fuente has not hesitated to send his message of encouragement to Lamine Yamal after learning the extent of his injury and the length of time he will be out
The national team coach, Luis de la Fuente, issued statements this Monday from Las Rozas, the epicenter of the activity of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), to express his feelings about the situation that Lamine Yamal is going through. The '19' culé is facing a Grade 1 syndesmosis injury of the right ankle, which will keep him out of action for approximately two to three weeks.
The Riojan coach started by making it clear that, due to the injury of Lamine Yamal, they did not consider it appropriate for him to attend the call made by 'La Roja' to integrate the list of 26 players of the national team in the November FIFA date corresponding to matchdays five and six of the UEFA Nations League against Denmark (11/15) and Switzerland (11/18), respectively.
"Barcelona, like all clubs, sent us the report with the relevant tests and we deemed it appropriate for him not to travel, as it would have been a repetition of the process here, which was no longer necessary," De la Fuente expressed before the delivery of the MARCA Awards to the best of the past season.

The Spanish national team, fortunately, heeded the request of FC Barcelona not to call up Lamine Yamal, and in his place, they called up the forward from Girona, Bryan Gil. Beyond that, De la Fuente expressed his best wishes for the Barcelona star: "Wishing him a speedy recovery," taking the opportunity to also express his concern about the series of unfortunate injuries that players from different teams are facing.
"If there had been matches of a different nature, there would have also been absences. It coincides with these times, and there is nothing more to consider than wishing a speedy recovery for the injured players so that both their clubs and the national team can count on them," he concluded.
