Hansi Flick was present at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas where the LaLiga coaches summit was held. At the event, the German met with Carlo Ancelotti and both coaches spoke on several occasions
The RFEF Coaching Committee, chaired by David Gutiérrez, called the coaches who manage the First and Second Division teams to a meeting on Tuesday, September 3, which was also attended by colleagues who have coached in these categories in one of the two previous years, to continue discussing the relevant improvements for the group. At this meeting, Hansi Flick and Carlo Ancelotti, coaches of FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, got along and spoke in English, even posing together in the family photo.
According to 'Mundo Deportivo', the Blaugrana coach was accompanied by Arnau Blanco, a youth football coach who earned a place on his staff after the temporary departure of Thiago Alcántara and who also helps him with translation. In addition, Hansi also met with Quique Setién, former Barça coach, in the thrashing that Bayern Munich, led by the German, gave to the Catalans in the quarter-finals of the 20219/20 Champions League (2-8).
The main point of the meeting was the delay in payments to dismissed coaches by the clubs. The coaches, at the time of their dismissal, are aware of their payment guarantee, but expressed their great concern because in some specific cases these deposits are postponed over time beyond the end of the season. For this reason, the coaches of the Spanish teams were informed that on Wednesday, September 4, there will be a meeting between representatives of the RFEF and LALIGA where this demand will be addressed to adapt the wording of the section relating to coaches in the Coordination Agreement between the two institutions to the current legal situation.
Two former Barça players among the Committee's main representatives
The RFEF Coaches Committee created a negotiating table months ago to represent and defend the issues of interest to the group, which is made up of several coaches including Jagoba Arrasate, Paco López, Pacheta and the former Barça players Xavi Hernández and Quique Setién. The coaches trust in the good will of LaLiga and the Federation as they consider their demand to be fair, so news is expected this coming Wednesday.
