FIFA has announced that the Club World Cup draw will take place on 5 December in Miami at 19:00. It will be broadcast live to the entire world
The Club World Cup is beginning to take shape after FIFA announced the date and place of the group draw on Monday, November 11. Through its official media, the institution confirmed that it will take place on Thursday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. in Miami and will be broadcast live to the entire world.
The competition will be held in the United States between June 15 and July 13, 2025 and, at the moment, 31 teams have qualified. The last ticket will go to the winner of the Copa Libertadores final, which will be played by Brazilian teams Atlético Mineiro and Botafogo in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on Saturday, November 30.
In the new format of the competition, there will be a group stage, made up of 8 groups of 4 teams each, with each team playing three games and the best two teams from each group qualifying for the next stage. The knockout phase will then take place, divided into the round of 16, quarter-finals, semi-finals and final. The champion will have to play a total of seven matches to win the title and there will be no match for third place.
