Lamine Yamal will debut his number with Spain this Saturday against Denmark. The FC Barcelona winger will inherit the '10' from fellow culé Dani Olmo, who is out due to injury
This Friday, the Spanish National Team published the numbers that the 23 players called up by Luis de la Fuente will wear for the UEFA Nations League matches against Denmark (Saturday) and Serbia (Tuesday), both at home. The main novelty has to do with the new number of Lamine Yamal, who will leave the '19' that he had been using since the Euro Cup to inherit the number that, in recent months, his teammate at FC Barcelona and La Roja, Dani, has worn. Elm.
It is nothing more and nothing less than the '10' shirt, a number always associated with the most talented and hierarchical footballers. For his part, the '19' that the Esplugues de Llobregat player had been using will be used in this double international matchday by debutant Sergi Gómez. The other two culés called up by De la Fuente, Pedri González and Pau Cubarsí, will wear the '20' and '15', respectively.

Luis de la Fuente praises Lamine Yamal's maturity before Spain-Denmark
During the usual contact with the Spanish press prior to an official match, coach Luis de la Fuente took the opportunity to praise, once again, Lamine Yamal in a talk with 'Mundo Deportivo'. For the Spanish coach, players like the Barça winger are distinguished not only by their talent, but also by a maturity greater than any young man his age.
"When you see that he has that touch, I say that he is touched by that wand of God, which is different... They are players who, at 17 years old, have nothing to do with a boy their age. They are much more mature, with a degree of very important responsibility, that they interpret and accept any proposal and situation that you propose to them because they are great," explained the coach.
In that sense, he added some very valuable advice for the Catalan culé: "But I have also seen these footballers who have fallen by the wayside. Don't make the mistake of wanting to walk faster than you have to walk, it can get damaged. "You have to control who plays football very well and the thousand other details that are truly important," said the European champion coach. For Lamine, Saturday will be his 17th game with the senior team. At the moment he has 3 goals and 9 assists.
