Only Barça has two players with more than 10 goals in the five major leagues
FC Barcelona have scored 48 goals in 16 LaLiga games this season. However, as well as being the top scorer, they are the only team in the top five leagues with two players who have scored more than 10 goals.
The goalscoring ability of Hansi Flick's Barça is absolutely astonishing. The 48 goals scored in 16 league games make up an average of 3.33, the highest in the five major leagues. Bayern are close behind with 3.08 goals per game and one step below are PSG, 2.84, and Atalanta, 2.57.
However, the number of goals per game is not the only astonishing figure. FC Barcelona is the only team in the top five domestic competitions in Europe with more than one player who exceeds 10 goals. Robert Lewandowski is the top scorer, with 15 in the same number of games, and Raphinha is second, with 11 goals spread over 16 games.
Lewandowski, like a fine wine
The Polish centre forward is experiencing a second youth. In La Liga he has managed to score 15 goals and assist 2. In the Champions League, the number of goals scored is 7. Robert has managed to score 22 goals in 15 games. The comparison with his two previous campaigns is astonishing: he is 4 balls away from equalling his figure from last season, with 29 fewer games. Similarly, he is 10 away from equalling his first season with the Blaugrana jersey, with 26 fewer appearances.
He is the top scorer in the five major leagues. As for the golden boot, he is the leader due to the scoring factor. However, his figures are only surpassed by Vyktor Gyokeres (16 goals in 12 games), Reginaldo Ramires (25 goals in 28 games) and Alex Tamm (28 goals in 35 games). These last two forwards play in the Latvian and Estonian leagues. Lewandowski is thus achieving a higher level than he has seen since he arrived in Barcelona.
Raphinha is facing the best season of his career
The Brazilian striker's progress has been incredible. In 21 games he has already managed to improve his career figures. He has 11 goals and 6 assists in 16 La Liga matches. In the Champions League, his figures are 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 matches. A total of 24 goal contributions in 21 matches. The highest figure he had achieved in his entire career occurred in 22/23 when he reached 22 goal contributions in 50 matches.
With Hansi Flick he has evolved a version that he had already shown last season with Xavi Hernández. From the left side, as an internalised winger, he has the freedom to add to the creation and to appear in the finishing of the plays. This is making the carioca show an excellent performance, also a result of his unbreakable mentality.
