Gerard Piqué visited the popular show 'La Revuelta' in a recorded interview that premiered this Thursday on 'TVE'. The former FC Barcelona center-back talked about the club and his upcoming projects with David Broncano

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Lamine Yamal was one of the topics of conversation in Gerard Piqué's much-anticipated interview on the show 'La Revuelta'. The current president of the Kings League and former FC Barcelona player had a very relaxed chat with David Broncano where he praised the player from Mataró, along with the rest of the kids from 'Baby Barça'.

"I trained with him (Lamine) in my last year and now we have him in the Kings, which will have a team. You could already see it, Barça was in great need and the young players come out earlier," commented 'Geri'. In that sense, he valued the resurgence of Barça this season.

"We have been struggling for a few years, but we will get through it. I decided to leave and give up a year and a half of my contract," he said before joking about the money he forgave the club. Regarding the performance of Hansi Flick's team, he added: "The team is playing well, with a lot of young people... I was in the youth team at 16. It's incredible."

Additionally, Piqué revealed his plans with the '19' culé in the competition he presides over. "I have a deal with Lamine because he will be the president of a Kings League team in the new season," announced the former Spanish international.

Gerard Piqué, confident in Barça's recovery

Regarding the club's current financial situation, the now Catalan businessman did not hesitate to express his confidence in the economic recovery of the culés. "Let's not be victims, if you're from Barça you should be happy because the team is playing well, fighting for everything and with homegrown players," declared 'Geri', who also referred to his aspirations to reach the presidency of the club.

"At some point, but we'll see, let's not rush, I am very happy now and busy with the Kings League, family..." Likewise, while reviewing his career with Barça, he took the opportunity to take a jab at Luis Figo, with whom he expressed his desire to share a show on 'La Revuelta'.

"I have a normal deal with him, I saw him recently in Abu Dhabi. I will tell him everything he has done to us to his face. One day he said he was still at Barça and the next he was wearing the Real Madrid jersey. It was very painful, it was when I was going to the stadium every two weeks...", recalled Piqué, who also made it clear how he is physically two years after his professional retirement.

"Right now I couldn't play even in the Third Catalan Division. Many years of career and in the end you disconnect. With talent, but with zero physical condition and zero motivation," pointed out the former '3' of Barça.
