'Radio Marca' surprised this weekend with a real bombshell linked to Real Madrid. Florentino Pérez would be willing to sell Vinicius Jr. for 300 million euros

Calendar of FC Barcelona

The future of Vinicius Jr. could be much further from Real Madrid than many think. Initially, '7' seems to be the only untouchable, alongside the recently signed Kylian Mbappé, in the 'merengue' squad, but the summer of 2025 could bring a real bombshell regarding the future of the Brazilian, recently named by FIFA as the best footballer on the planet in 2024.

According to 'Radio Marca', the club is willing to accept an offer from Saudi Arabia, around 300 million euros, to let the South American winger go. This season, 'Vini' has 14 goals and 10 assists in 21 matches, maintaining the level of his last seasons under Carlo Ancelotti. At 24 years old, the player from São Gonçalo is experiencing the best moment of his career and has no plans to change clubs, as his contract runs until 2027.

Florentino Pérez knows how to invest the sale of Vinicius

This decision is surprising, as the Brazilian has remained the main franchise player of the 'Casa Blanca' despite the signing of Kylian Mbappé. Madrid has supported Vini in each of his complaints to LaLiga for racist insults and in the snub to the Ballon d'Or, but in 2025 the future of '7' could take an unexpected turn if, finally, an offer arrives that Florentino Pérez has been waiting for a long time.

The finances of the 'merengue' team suffered a severe blow after the cancellation of all concerts that were scheduled at the Santiago Bernabéu for the last four months of 2024. This, combined with the amortization of Kylian Mbappé's contract, leads the club to look for other sources of income for the future, as the debt accumulated after the remodeling of Chamartín is by no means low.

In this context, parting with the 24-year-old winger could be a smart long-term move for Pérez, as it would prevent increasing the club's debt by freeing a player who, beyond his talent and notable records, generates too much off-field noise due to his conduct on the pitch. Madrid also does not rule out going for Erling Haaland in 2025, but for that, they need to close a big transfer, and Vinicius is, for now, the most valuable asset of the white squad (180M€).
