FC Barcelona will have two days of celebration after the historic win at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid (0-4). However, the coaching staff led by Hansi Flick already has the roadmap defined to prepare the team for what is to come.
After a sensational week, with victories against Sevilla, Bayern and Madrid (13 goals for, only 2 against), the squad must continue working hard to prolong the great emotional and football moment.
"The weather is very good. We can celebrate this victory, I give them two days of rest, after recovering." Then we will prepare for the match against Espanyol," explained the German coach in the post-match press conference.
The Heidelberg coach has already implemented this strategy in the season, to dose loads in the middle of a calendar that gives no respite. In that sense, he added: "We are happy, but we have to be focused on what is coming." Next Sunday, the culés will return to Montjuïc with the aim of maintaining the winning streak and not giving up ground in the leadership of LaLiga.
The Barça squad will train again this Wednesday
In this way, the Barcelona squad will return to work at the Ciutat Esportiva on Wednesday, four days before the first derby of the season against the 'parakeet' team. The Catalans returned to LaLiga after a season in the Second Division and, for the moment, remain in 16th position in the table with 10 points (3 wins, 1 draw and 7 losses).
On matchday 11, Espanyol lost at home against Sevilla (0-2). In their last visit to the culés, in December 2022, the 'blue and white' team rescued a draw at Camp Nou (1-1). For the duel in Montjuïc, Barça hopes to recover Eric García, who is out against Bayern and Real Madrid due to discomfort in his right leg.
The derby against Espanyol, the first of five games in November
After the Catalan derby, the Barça team will have four more games in November, two in the League and two in the Champions League. The culés will travel to Belgrade next week to face Crvena Zvezda (Wednesday the 6th) for the fourth matchday of the Champions League.
Four days later, the team must travel to San Sebastián to face Real Sociedad, the last game before the November national team break. After the FIFA date, Barça visits Celta de Vigo (on Saturday the 23rd) and, the following week, it is their turn to host Brest for the fifth round of the Champions League (Tuesday the 26th). For these last games, the team could have already recovered Ronald Araújo.
