A total of nine FC Barcelona players will be called up by their national teams this week to play in the matches of the FIFA round of 16 in November. The double international matchday marks the continuation of the UEFA Nations League in Europe with its rounds 4 and 5, while in South America the qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup continue. Dani Olmo, Marc Casadó and Pedri will see action with La Roja
Luis de la Fuente called up four culés for the second double matchday of the Nations League. Dani Olmo, Marc Casadó and Pedri González will report to the European champion this week for the matches against Denmark (Friday 15, in Copenhagen) and Switzerland (Monday 18, in Tenerife). Both matches will be played at 20:45 Spanish time (8:45 PM CEST). Lamine Yamal was also called up by the Spanish national team, but his presence is ruled out after the blow suffered last Wednesday against Red Star.
Koundé, Lewandowski and Frenkie de Jong will also be in the Nations League
The other three Barça internationals who will see action in the UEFA Nations League are Jules Koundé, Frenkie de Jong and Robert Lewandowski. The centre-back will face Israel (Thursday 14) and then will face Italy (Sunday 17). For his part, 'Lewy' will be with Poland for the matches against Portugal (Friday 15) and Scotland (Monday 18), while the Dutchman will face Hungary (Saturday 16) and Bosnia (Tuesday 19).
Pablo Torre and Héctor Fort will have matches with the Spanish youth teams
Pablo Torre and Héctor Fort have also been called up for the FIFA matchday in November. The midfielder will join the Spain U-21s managed by Santi Denia, who will host England (Friday 15) and Denmark (Tuesday 19). The full-back will be part of the U-19s that will face Faroe Islands (Wednesday 13), Kosovo (Saturday 16) and Austria (Tuesday 19).
Raphinha returns with Brazil
Raphinha will be the Barça player who will add the most travel miles to join the Brazilian national team. In this window, the 'verdeamarela' will play two qualifying matches for the World Cup. The first will be against Venezuela on Thursday 14 at 10:00 p.m. and the second against Uruguay on Wednesday 20 at 1:45 a.m.
