However, the accusation of alleged rape against Kylian Mbappé has taken a more serious turn, with the Swedish press, particularly the newspaper 'Expresen', reporting that the Swedish prosecution considers the Real Madrid player as "reasonably suspicious" (the lowest level of suspicion provided by Swedish law) in relation to this alleged crime. An investigation has been initiated to clarify the facts, while 'Donatello's' circle insists that these accusations are unfounded and aim to defame the '10' of 'Les Bleus'.

According to the Swedish newspaper 'Aftonbladet', during his stay in Stockholm, Kylian Mbappé was seen dining at the Chez Jolie restaurant on Thursday night, accompanied by several friends. After that, he headed to the club 'V' to continue the celebration, where he was photographed by paparazzi who knew of his presence in the Swedish capital.

Now, as the aforementioned source states, the rape accusation suggests that the alleged act took place on Thursday afternoon in central Stockholm, at the same hotel where the footballer was staying, the Hotel Bank. The victim, after being examined to confirm the incident, identified Kylian Mbappé as the perpetrator in her statement. This version is also supported by another Swedish media outlet called 'TV4 News', which also notes that the victim, after seeking medical attention, pointed to the French player as responsible.

"The police accepted the report on Saturday after the woman sought treatment," they comment in 'Aftonbladet'.

The outcome of this case, currently in the investigation phase under prosecutor Marina Charikova, is still uncertain. According to reports from Swedish media, it is not clear whether Kylian Mbappé has been officially informed of his status as "reasonably suspicious" in this incident. What is evident, as in previous responses, is that 'Donatello's' circle insists on the falsity of the accusations. Additionally, beyond the aforementioned response on Twitter, the player's circle issued a statement in his defense, which was disseminated by AFP:

"Today, a new defamatory rumor begins to circulate on the web by the Swedish media Aftonbladet. These accusations are completely false and irresponsible, and their spread is unacceptable.

 

To put an end to this methodical destruction of (Kylian Mbappé's) image, all necessary legal actions will be taken to restore the truth and pursue anyone or any media involved in the repeated moral harassment and defamatory treatment that Kylian Mbappé suffers," concluded the statement.

At the moment, as former prosecutor Sven-Erik Alheim mentioned to the newspaper 'Expresen', it will be crucial to wait for the possible emergence of more evidence regarding this case. If new evidence arises, the next step would be to subject Kylian Mbappé to questioning, which does not necessarily have to take place in Sweden but could also be carried out in Spain. Only after this process, following a potential hearing, will the prosecutor be in a position to determine whether the case should be closed or if any additional legal procedures are required.
