This is a clear statement of the 'Die Roten's' desire to show a strong interest in keeping their star player with a contract befitting a top player.

Under this premise, signing this agreement under either of these terms would immediately place Jamal Musiala among the top earners at Bayern Munich, alongside names like Harry Kane, Manuel Neuer, and Thomas Müller. This significant increase in salary is necessary for a player who currently receives a relatively low wage for his standing in the Bavarian squad, earning around 5 M€ per year.

Furthermore, with this 'shielding' by Bayern Munich for Jamal Musiala, any interest from Barcelona or other teams such as Manchester City or Real Madrid, who have also been mentioned as potential suitors for the player, would be dispelled.
