Laporta hints that there will be signings in January if he is president of FC Barcelona

Joan Laporta already was considered the main favourite in the elections to the presidency of the FC Barcelona​ of the next 24 January but, after the delivery of signatures of the precandidaturas, still seems more evident his favouritism. With 10.257 signatures attained like guarantee, the ex president bent the achieved by Víctor Font, his big rival in the comicios, that remained in 4.710.

This Tuesday, Joan Laporta appeared in the headquarters of his candidature, the Factory Moritz of Barcelona, and asked that they do not delay the elections to the presidency of the FC Barcelona, a possibility that is winning strength because of the sanitary situation that lives in Catalonia with the increase of contagions by Covid-19 after the holidays navideñas.

Joan Laporta considered that "the consequences of a postponement of the elections could be irreversible for the Barça".
