VIRAL: Raphinha's brutal reaction to several negative comments he received on his Instagram

If there is one name that has taken stellar prominence in the sports planning of FC Barcelona at the beginning of this 2024/25 season, that is Raphinha. The Porto Alegre native, after being one of the names most mentioned as a prime candidate to be transferred in the past summer transfer window, ended up staying with the squad and luckily, Hansi Flick found a place for him in the starting eleven, using him as a sort of attacking midfielder with great freedom of movement, allowing 'Rapha' to fully exploit the strengths of his game.

This is a palpable reality. Moreover, the '11' has shown his more goal-scoring side, scoring three goals so far in the 2024/25 season. Additionally, he has also showcased his best assisting side, with three assists, proving to be a truly decisive player in the final third of the pitch for the cules.

However, recently, the Brazilian's name has come into the spotlight for a completely different reason than his stellar sports performances. The former Leeds player has been the subject of a series of criticisms on social media for an unusual reason. This is not related to the sporting field, but several internet users have dared to question and make jokes about his physical appearance, labeling it as unattractive. Faced with this, the right winger has not held back and has chosen to respond to some of these comments.

The Instagram post that sparked Raphinha's viral reaction

It all started after the forward's wife, Natalia Rodrigues Belloli, shared a post on her social media (@taia_belloli) showing the happy couple enjoying a relaxing time at the beach. They took advantage of the fact that Raphinha was not called up by Dorival Júnior to the 'Canarinha' for the international break this September, due to a one-match suspension for card accumulation.

In that post, which has so far garnered a total of 739,000 'likes' and around 9,295 comments, several negative and mocking messages about the Brazilian forward emerged, insinuating that Raphinha's wife was only with him for his financial position. Comments like "the power of money," "how good it is to be rich," and "what money does, you won't have anything else to do" were some of the ones that could be seen in the post.

What was surprising was Raphinha's response, who chose not to remain silent and defended himself, leaving comments that quickly went viral. For instance, he replied to one internet user saying "you, even with money, wouldn't have this," to another he said "you're ugly even with money," and to one more he expressed "where do you see money in the photos? Do you know where I come from? Do you know where it comes from? Get connected." He even told someone who criticized his haircut, "you have to find a way to take care of your life."

This was a true onslaught of responses, which probably didn't go further because comments were limited on the post. However, one thing that is clear is that Raphinha, just like on the field, doesn't hesitate to launch an offensive when it comes to defending himself, and he certainly knows how to do it.
