Following the 2024 Ballon d'Or ceremony won by Rodri, the votes cast by each journalist are being made public. Beyond the expected elections, there are some curiosities

Calendar of FC Barcelona

On a magical night, UEFA and France Football held the annual Ballon d'Or awards gala, where Rodri was named Best Player in the World for 2024 and the winners of the other categories were also announced.

A jury of 100 journalists from around the world, one for each country in the 'top 100' of the FIFA rankings, was responsible for choosing the winner. Officially, France Football will not make the votes public until November 9 in its magazine. However, some journalists have already revealed their votes and little by little we are getting to know them.

How is the Ballon d'Or voted for? Each member of the jury selects ten players from a list of thirty nominees, ordering them from most to least meritorious. Players receive points according to their position on this list: 15, 12, 10, 8, 7, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 point, respectively.

The selection of the winner is based on three main criteria: Individual performance, especially decisive and impressive moments. The player's collective achievements and the titles won with his team. Class and fair play, highlighting ethical behaviour and sportsmanship.
