Musiala has renewed with an 'earthly' release clause

Regarding this case, journalist Florian Plettenberg from 'Sky Sports Germany' comments that now Jamal Musiala will earn an average salary between 25 and 26 million euros gross per year. This represents a significant increase in the earnings of the German international, who according to 'Capology' metrics, earned about 5 million euros gross per season with his previous contract.

Furthermore, with this significant salary increase, Musiala will become, along with Harry Kane and Manuel Neuer, one of the highest-paid players on the Munich team's roster.

At the same time, the door remains open for a possible departure in the future. As Plettenberg pointed out, Jamal now has a release clause of 175 million euros, valid from the summer of 2025 until the winter of 2028/29. From the summer of 2029 until the winter of 2029/2030, this would decrease to 100 million euros.

The Bavarians never doubted their ability to renew Jamal

With this renewal, Jamal Musiala, who joined Bayern Munich in 2019 from Chelsea's youth academy and quickly rose through the ranks to debut in the first team in 2020, is now more than tied to the Bavarian team. It is worth noting that the young German 'jewel' generated significant interest from several clubs around the world, including FC Barcelona, who, seeing his uncertain renewal situation, showed interest in at least keeping him on their radar for a possible future signing.

Bayern Munich continues to renew its stars

On the other hand, Bayern Munich is making significant progress in renewing its great stars this season. With Musiala's contract extension already secured until 2030, three key players of the squad have already sealed their contract extensions this season, the other two being Alphonso Davies, who has linked himself with the Bavarian club until 2030, and Manuel Neuer, who extended his contract with the Bavarian team for one more season. 

In this sense, the only renewal that seems to be pending and perhaps the one that has generated the most rumors has been that of Joshua Kimmich. The player from Rottweil's contract ends on June 30, 2025 and it is still unclear whether he will continue with the Bavarian team.
