Internacional de Limeira 0-3 Santos
Incredible! Neymar Jr. surprises with an olympic goal at Paulistão
The Brazilian scored his team's second goal on the scoreboard by sending the ball straight into the back of the opponent's net from the corner
O menino da Vila has amazed the world of football. He has played six games for Santos since returning to his home country and is leaving a good impression, despite his lacklustre start. He is not yet in top form, but he is already getting fans out of their seats. In his fourth game he managed to score the first goal and give his first assist, against Água Santa. However, on Sunday night he scored an olympic goal to double 'O Peixe's' lead (0-2), as well as giving the two passes that led to Tiquinho Soares opening and closing the scoring (0-3).
The 'Prince', captain of the black and white team, is in charge of taking the corner kicks. In the 27th minute, the Brazilian was ready to take the ball from the right corner of the rival goal. Before the kick-off, the fans of Internacional de Limeira booed him, to which he responded by showing his ear and asking for more. He prepared to strike the ball, observing that the goalkeeper was slightly ahead. With his right leg, he kicked the ball towards the far post, managing to cross the goal line after rebounding off the woodwork.
Despite the tremendous goal he had scored, 'Ney' did not go crazy in the celebration. He put his hand behind his right ear while looking at the rival fans. Later, he repeated the celebration that Cristiano Ronaldo did in 2017, sitting on the advertising board after scoring a hat trick against Atlético de Madrid in the Champions League. He later explained the move to Cazé TV: "I went to take a corner and the crowd provoked me. I asked them to sing more and I gave the first assist for Tiquinho Soares to score. Then, on the second kick, they said something to me again. So, I thought to myself: 'Now is when I have to be myself'. I hit it well, it was a great shot and I got this first goal from this type of kick."
The Brazilian striker continues to offer great performances and has already been seen live by Dorival Júnior. The player's objective is to be called up by the 'Canarinha' in the international break in March, when they will face Colombia and Argentina in the World Cup qualifiers. In fact, he was very willing to accept the offer: "I'm here. Every player wants to defend their country, to defend their colours. For me, it's always been a great honour. I've always given my all, I've given 100% to the Brazilian national team. It's the place where I like to be, I like to represent Brazil, I like to represent the Brazilian people. So, if I have a new opportunity to return to the Seleçao, I'll be very happy."
