'Dinho' also envisions a star showdown between Barça and PSG in the Champions final
Ronaldinho Gaúcho, one of the most authoritative voices to speak about various talents in world football, has openly praised Lamine Yamal, the young promise of FC Barcelona. The legend of world football, who shone in the blue and garnet jersey for five seasons, highlighted the talent of the youth player in an interview with the French newspaper L'Équipe.
"He is a precocious talent. I also love watching him for his inventiveness. He must confirm that he is doing a good job. But he will be great, for sure," asserted 'Dinho'.
'Dinho' bets on a dream final in the Champions: Barça vs. PSG
In the context of the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League 2024-25, Ronaldinho also shared his wish for the grand final of the tournament: a clash between his two former teams, FC Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain. "It is always difficult to reach the Champions final, but I think it is becoming more possible for Paris. Since I love both clubs, it would be great for me! Both are in my heart," he pointed out.
Regarding this, already on the topic of Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain, 'Dinho' talked about two great talents who triumphed in the Barcelona team but also had an adventure in the French club: Neymar Jr. and Leo Messi. "They are great friends. Ney has written a great story with some memorable matches, although he hasn't had much luck with injuries. Messi wasn't there as long, but both left their mark in PSG's history simply by having played there. Messi won the Ballon d'Or in Paris, and that, obviously, had an impact. I'm glad they played in the same clubs that I loved. Many great footballers have passed through Barcelona and PSG," he recounted.

Luis Enrique and Dembélé, the new PSG that excites
Likewise, Ronaldinho did not miss the opportunity to praise the management of Luis Enrique at Paris Saint-Germain and how he has revolutionized the Parisian team, driving it towards success with a recognizable and effective playing style. "This weekend they won the league and I saw some very nice photos of him with all the players. He is someone we love. He gives his all, he is very complete. He knows what he is doing, what he builds. We met at Barcelona and I admire him a lot as a person. I respect him. He was a great player and has become a great coach. He will have success in Paris. He creates a good and attractive game plan," he warned.
In this context, the Barcelona legend also 'surrendered' to one of the current stars of the Parisian team, who also had a stint at FC Barcelona: Ousmane Dembélé. The 'Mosquito', now converted into an attacking midfielder, is having one of his best seasons as a professional (32 goals and eight assists in 40 matches). "There is Ousmane Dembélé at PSG. (Laughs) He has a somewhat Brazilian style! He confuses, invents, provokes. He is often unreadable and, besides, scores a lot of goals. He is in the process of revealing himself, of breaking into a role different from the one he played at PSG last year or at Barcelona before," he concluded.
