Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona Femení took another step towards defending their title in the Copa de la Reina this Thursday with another 'hand' against Real Madrid (0-5). Pere Romeu's team crushed their opponent at the Alfredo Di Stéfano Stadium thanks to a 'hat-trick' from Ewa Pajor and another double from Salma Paralluelo to seal the semifinal tie before the return match next Wednesday at Johan Cruyff (19:00 CEST).

Barça took the lead just seventy seconds into the match, thanks to a good cross from Graham that Salma sent home with a precise shot. The home team tried to respond, but Ewa made it 0-2 in the 13' after taking advantage of a rebound off the crossbar, following a shot from the scorer of the first goal. The '17' Blaugrana extended the lead before the half-hour mark, pouncing on a loose ball in the area to beat goalkeeper Misa again.

Just before halftime, Salma scored the fourth, again assisted by Graham amidst the Madrid rain. In the second half, Romeu adjusted his lineup and Madrid generated some clear chances. However, it was Barça who continued to hurt in the opponent's area, and in the 78', Ewa Pajor completed her 'hat-trick', this time assisted by Fridolina Rolfö who had come on 20 minutes earlier for Esmee Brugts.

Barça extends its dominance in the women's Clásico: 17-0 and counting

With Thursday's victory, Barça maintains its absolute dominance in women's Clásicos. The tally is now 17-0 in favor of the Blaugrana, and this season, there have already been three Blaugrana routs against the 'merengues'. Following the 0-4 in Liga F, there was another 5-0 in the Supercopa de España final held in Butarque. In 17 matches, Madrid has managed to score only 7 goals, compared to 63 for Barça. A true madness.

As for the Copa de la Reina, everything points to Atlético de Madrid being the Catalans' opponent in the final. The 'colchoneras' also took the lead as visitors on Wednesday against Granada (0-2) and are well on their way to closing the tie at home next Thursday. The 'rojiblancas', in fact, were the only ones able to break the Blaugrana's dominance in the tournament in 2023, after an improper lineup led to the elimination of a Barça that has won 10 titles, 6 of them in the last 8 editions.
