The controversy at the Bernabéu: Imanol Alguacil and the criticisms from Real Madrid TV
It is truly unbelievable how far the audiovisual arm of Real Madrid, Real Madrid TV, can go when it comes to defending the indefensible. This time, the broadcaster of the white team has attacked the coach of Real Sociedad, Imanol Alguacil, after he rightly expressed his discontent over the controversies raised in the match that pitted his team against the whites and which resulted in the elimination of the Basques in the 'semis' of the Copa del Rey. An elimination that is, without a doubt, quite questionable.
It should be noted that the coach from Oriotarra did not hesitate to denounce a specific play: the prior action leading to Real Madrid's third goal, which equalized the match 3-3 at that moment. That goal came in the 86th minute from Aurélien Tchouaméni, who headed a ball served into the area from the right side, courtesy of Luka Modrić.
However, that action should not have originated. Prior to that corner kick, which led to the third goal for Carlo Ancelotti's team, there was a play in which Kylian Mbappé was in a clear positional offside. 'Donatello', in an undeniable offside position, feigned receiving a through pass from Modrić.

Nevertheless, the Frenchman ended up letting the ball pass and it reached Vini Jr. An interference that could have invalidated the play and subsequently the corner that led to the 3-3 for the Chamartín team would not have been awarded. Conveniently, it was not annulled, providing crucial help for the merengues.
With this in mind, the coach of Real Sociedad, Imanol Alguacil, did not hold back in the press conference after the match and expressed his discontent over the validity of that goal. "If it can be whistled, it's better not to talk. They didn't whistle it, and that's that. We were eliminated with help in an area that should be neutral. Madrid is a big team and doesn't need help. I am very clear that they wouldn't have given the goal if it had happened in the other area," he concluded.

The complaints from RMTV against the refereeing in the match against Real Sociedad
Indeed, these words have led one of the collaborators of Real Madrid TV to make some lamentable statements against the coach of Real Sociedad: "In case Imanol Alguacil hasn't noticed, I recommend he watch the tackle made by his player (Olasagasti) on Vinicius. He was only shown a yellow card when it should have been a red," asserted Miguel Ángel Muñoz with a vehemence worthy of someone trying to cover the obvious.
Not content with that, he also referred to an action by Alex Remiro on Jude Bellingham: "In case he hasn't noticed either, Remiro slapped Bellingham in the face. The goalkeeper should have been sent off and a penalty should have been awarded, but perhaps he didn't notice from his position." A series of allegations attempting to justify the unjustifiable: a clear detriment to Real Sociedad.
The 'blow' against Alguacil that ended up mentioning Barcelona
Finally, Muñoz launched an even more personal criticism, unexpectedly mentioning FC Barcelona: "Every time he faces Barcelona, he admits all the mistakes against his team as if they were his own gifts. And when he faces Real Madrid, he sees a series of tremendous ghosts. Maybe he enjoys losing against FC Barcelona."
"Maybe he enjoys losing against FC Barcelona"
With these statements, a day of lamentable 'whining' was crowned that only seeks to divert attention from the obvious: a highly questionable refereeing decision that, as has been customary, ends up leaning in favor of Real Madrid. An irregularity that cannot and should not go unnoticed.
