Mateu Alemany's time as sports director at the club level seems like it will remain in the background for now. The Mallorcan, after his negotiations with Atlético did not come to fruition, it seems that he will aim for a new goal with a view to the Royal Spanish Football Federation
The future of Mateu Alemany after his exit of the FC Barcelona has turned into a true incógnita. After falling his incorporation to the Aston Villa, boasted that it could go back to the sportive direction in a club of LaLiga, being the Athletic of Madrid the better institution outlined to do of his services. Nevertheless, the conversations between both parts seem to have not arrived to good port.
These negotiations between the 'colchoneros' and the Majorcan, fits to stand out, seem to have fallen due to the fact that Alemany, to the equal that in his stage in the Barça, pretended to do with the sportive control of the cast 'rojiblanco'. Nevertheless, it would not be odd that Mateu Alemany present like a contendiente quite strong if it finishes presenting his candidature, as his dilated experience in charges like mandator of the RCD Mallorca (2009), general manager of Valencia CF (2017-2019) and sportive director of the FC Barcelona (2021-2023) have turned it into a figure respected in the world of the Spanish football, with a big capacity to connect with directors and players.
