OFFICIAL: The Eredivisie is cancelled and can be a bad signal for LaLiga

In Holland has taken officially a decision that already advanced does some days, and that it could be a precedent for some of the big leagues of Europe in function of how advance the pandemia of the coronavirus in his respective countries. And it is that the Dutch Federation has cancelled definitively the Eredivisie 2019-20, without that there is champion neither neither promotions neither descents.

To fault of nine days to finish the championship, the Federation does not concede to the current leader the title of champion, in this case the Ajax, although yes it will inscribe him in the first square of classification for the Champions League 2020-21 and will play the liguilla directly. On the other hand the AZ, second by difference of goals, will play the previous of the phase of groups, whereas Feyenoord, PSV and Willem II have classified for the UEFA Europe League.

The decision of the Dutch Federation arrives after the Government decreed the past Tuesday that will not be able to play to football until 1 September because of the pandemia of coronavirus, although in the Low Countries there is a lot of less cases of contagions and deaths that in other places like Spain, Italy, France or England.

The Dutch government has thought that it is better to warn that cure, and from here that it suspend definitively the football until September. This could be a precedent for the big European leagues in function of what last the crisis of the coronavirus and the measures of confinement.
