UEFA has made official this Friday a heavy penalty against Manchester City, which will appeal to TAS to avoid the punishment. The precedents in such situations do not appease the 'sky blues'
The UEFA has confirmed this Friday a hard sanction for the Manchester City, considered guilty of infringir the 'Fair Play Financial'. After an investigation that has lasted months, in the Etihad Stadium have received a news expected but no thus less disappointing, since they will be out of the European competitions during two years (campaigns 2020-21 and 2021-22) and have to credit a fine of 30 million euros.
The 'sky blues' have answered to the organism rector with rotundity, and have ensured that will appeal to the Court of Sportive Arbitration (TAS) to answer in front of a process in which they feel pursued. The English, insist in that the trial is partial and unfair, and request that it take part an independent authority that give them the reason in base to some irrefutable "arguments" that will help to comprise his position.
The UEFA has applied his strategy to rajatabla in the last times, and the 'citizen' could turn into the last victim. The entity warns, punishes and finally forces to fulfil to those that do not encircle to his rule, between which already appear several famous names. It is necessary to highlight that in similar situations are few those that have rid , by what the precedents are not favourable to the still champion of the Premier League.
The most recent case is the one of the Milan, that pactó a reduction of two years to one without presence in Europe. The 'rossoneri' also were accused for breaking the economic regulations in the trienios 2014-2017 and 2015-2018, but had the mediation of the TAS and finally assumed 'voluntarily' a lower penalty. After a change of owners, showed that the irregularities were committed by the previous agents, and the upper instance cancelled the punishment. After the warning and when checking that the season 2018-19 had more problems in the balances, the managers of the group lombardo accepted his exclusion of the present edition of the Europe League.
Others, like Inter of Milan, Rome, Monaco, Sporting of Portugal, Besiktas, Krasnodar, Lokomotiv, CSKA of Sofia, Karabukspor and Rostov, also confronted to restrictions and fines of the UEFA, that values the commitments to go back to fulfil with his requirements. No in all the cases recovered immediately the marked red lines in the agreements, but if the tendency was positive, the organism opted by not going back to sanction and keep a near study to the clubs.
The PSG rid of another exemplary sanction
More surprising was the case of the PSG, one of the few that it can boast to have rid of the punishments of the UEFA. Like the Manchester City, the Parisians received in 2014 a fine of 60 million euros by the incumplimiento of the 'Fair Play Financial' but not even his condition of reincidentes prejudiced them in an investigation that closed of definite form in March of 2019, when the TAS dictaminó that had exceeded the marked terms for a reopening.
The income of sponsorship also planted to the 'bleus' in the sight, by the same reason that have exploded against the English. They analysed in depth the invesiones of near companies or related with the owners of the entity, although after the closing in first instance of the Room of Adjudications left the file entrecerrado. The maximum performance against the leader of Tie it 1 was the obligation to sell players by value of 60 million euros before 30 June of the year established (in this case, the 2019).
