The idea roots in presenting this same Friday to the distinct leagues, the most significant changes that are studying , between which stand out to expand the competition of 32 teams to 36, reducing like this the number of groups to six and expanding the teams in each one of them until a total of six. Likewise, implement a system of help for the historical clubs, in addition to the possibility to increase the quantity of teams that can participate by league, extending them until six contingents, as long as they fulfil some criteria, as for example that the champion of the Europe League play in this league or the historical clubs do not classify to the competition.

With the application of the new format, the UEFA looks for to expand the number of parties that will contest to arrive to the phase of elimination. In total the teams would contest 10 commitments.
