The Barça dressing room has criticised the referee for Lewandowski's disallowed goal. Casadó, Iñaki Peña and Hansi Flick have all weighed in on the controversy
FC Barcelona's defeat against Real Sociedad could have been conditioned by an erroneous refereeing decision. In the 14th minute, the VAR disallowed a goal by Robert Lewandowski for an alleged offside. However, in the replay it can be seen that the foot that took the semi-automatic offside was that of Aguerd, a defender who was marking the Pole in the action, making it clear that the virtual image was manipulated and the Pole's goal was legal.
The Barça dressing room has echoed the controversy and at the end of the match they have left their impressions on Cuadra Fernández's decision. The first of them was Iñaki Peña, who did not 'bite his tongue' when speaking out on the matter.
"There was a possible error in the marking of Robert's foot. If there is such a clear and serious error, let's hope that LaLiga acts. This is what VAR and the lines that draw are for. If it was a mistake, let them investigate and act"
Later, Marc Casadó also commented on the controversial play and, maintaining the line of the Barça goalkeeper, stated that "LaLiga will have to review whether it was Lewandowski's foot or not. It would be serious if they disallowed a goal that was actually legal. I haven't seen it live, but they have told me about it. Sooner or later it will be known if it was offside."
Hansi Flick confronted the referee at half-time
While both teams headed to the locker rooms, Hansi Flick asked the Balearic referee for explanations. The 'Movistar+' cameras recorded Cuadra Fernández's statements, who responded to the Barça coach with a certain 'superficiality'.

"You say it's not offside. What can I do? It's nothing to you because it's against your team. If the VAR tells us it's offside, why would we make it up? Why are we going to make up an offside?" were the central referee's words.
Later, in a press conference, Flick confessed his statements to the referee, assuring that "I told the referee that it was a bad decision, I made him aware of that. But that's all I can say."
