Barça has accumulated 89 goals in 33 matchdays of LaLiga, more than anyone in the top 5 leagues! Despite 25 shots off the woodwork, Flick's attack is unstoppable. Discover all the details and statistics

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona continues to break offensive records in LaLiga 2024-25. Against Mallorca (1-0), the 'culés' completed 40 shots (12 on goal) and only the great performance of goalkeeper Leo Román (12 saves) and the posts prevented a 'Blaugrana' rout.

In total, Barça has 25 shots off the woodwork in LaLiga after 33 matchdays. Even so, the team has scored 89 goals, 24 more than Real Madrid (65) and maintains an average of 2.69 goals per match. If at least half of the shots off the woodwork had ended in a goal, the team would already exceed the barrier of 100 with five matchdays to play.

In 23-24, Barça closed the season with 10 fewer goals than scored so far (79) and, in 22-23, the 'Azulgrana' team won the title scoring just 70 goals. The strength of that team, without a doubt, was the defense, since only 20 goals were conceded (this season it's 32).

🥅Most shots off the woodwork in LaLiga 2024-25:

  1. FC Barcelona: 25
  2. Atlético de Madrid: 16
  3. Real Madrid: 14
  4. Villarreal: 14

Barça, leading scorer in Europe despite their bad luck with the posts

In that sense, Barça's attack in 24-25 has been, simply, devastating. The 'culés' lead the top five leagues in Europe in terms of goals scored (89), with a couple more than Bayern Munich (7) and 6 ahead of Paris Saint-Germain (83).

Bavarians and Parisians, however, have a better average of goals per game than Barcelona (2.69). Bayern has scored its 87 goals in 30 matchdays of the Bundesliga, averaging 2.9 goals per match. PSG, meanwhile, records 2.76 goals per game.

In England, Liverpool, virtual champion of the Premier League, has 75 goals in 33 matchdays (2.27), while, in Italy, Barça's next rival in the 'semis' of Champions, Inter Milan, has accumulated 72 goals in 33 matches (2.18).

02 Bayern Munich Bundesliga 87/30 2.9
03 Paris Saint-Germain Ligue 1 83/30 2.76

Flick's Barça, however, will be far from the record for most goals in a League, still held by Luis Enrique's team in 2016-17. That season, the last of the Asturian at the helm of the 'Azulgrana' bench, the 'culé' team scored 116 goals in 38 matchdays. However, they finished second with 90 points, 3 behind Madrid.

The second best record dates from 2011-12, with Pep Guardiola, in a campaign where the Catalans were also runners-up with 91 points. Barça scored 114 goals, 7 less than Madrid (121, absolute record in the competition). In 2015-16, the 'culés' scored 112 goals and did win the tournament, also with 91 points.

To match the record of 116 goals, Flick's team would have to average 5.4 goals in each of the 5 matches that remain to be played in LaLiga. A complicated mission, but not impossible for a team that has managed to score 5 or more goals in the same number of matches this season in the tournament:

⚽Barça matches with 5 or more goals in LaLiga 24-25:

  2. Villarreal 1-5 Barça (matchday 6)
  3. Barça 5-1 Sevilla (matchday 10)
  4. Mallorca 1-5 Barça (matchday 19)
  5. Barça 7-1 Valencia (matchday 21)
