Barça has the LaLiga title within reach, discover their path!
FC Barcelona continues to depend on themselves to be champions of LaLiga EA Sports 2024-25. Despite the draw at home against Betis (1-1), Hansi Flick's team maintains a 4 and 7 point lead over Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid, respectively, with 24 points left to play for. The azulgrana team has already won the direct encounter against the 'rojiblancos' (5-4), while against Madrid, the score is 4-0, awaiting what happens in the Clásico of matchday 25.
Additionally, Barça has a much higher goal difference than its two immediate pursuers, with a 22-goal advantage over the 'merengues' and 29 over the 'colchoneros'. Regardless of what the capital teams do, the culés can seal the title by adding at least 18 of the remaining 24 points. Indeed, if they reach matchday 35 with the current advantage, a victory over Madrid would allow Flick's team to escape to 7 points ahead of both, with only 3 matches remaining.
All three teams have 4 home games and 4 away games left to play, but only Barça has the opportunity to seal the tournament. Madrid and Atleti, on the other hand, must win everything and hope that the Catalans drop points along the way. This will be the schedule for the three teams in the 'race' for LaLiga in the final stretch of the season.
Barça's schedule in the final stretch of LaLiga
For Barça, the next league stop is Butarque, a field where this year Atlético suffered (lost 2-1 in the league) and Real Madrid (won 2-3 in the cup). Borja Jiménez's team remains in the relegation zone, but they are a very uncomfortable opponent who, in the first round, managed to surprise the culés in Montjuïc (0-1), being the last match without goals for Hansi Flick's team this season.
On matchday 32, Barça will host Celta, another team that managed to take points from them in November (2-2). Before the Clásico, they will host Mallorca and visit a Valladolid team that has already been relegated. If Madrid does not drop more points in the coming weeks, the duel in Montjuïc on the second weekend of May will undoubtedly be a final to define the title, something both teams will experience on April 26 in La Cartuja. The last three culé rivals in the league will be Espanyol (away), Villarreal (home), and Athletic (away).

Real and Atlético's schedule in the final stretch of LaLiga
On their part, Real Madrid will also have 4 home games and 4 away games left to play in the final stretch of LaLiga. The 'merengues' will visit Alavés next week, with the obligation to win to not lose more ground in the fight for the lead. After that, they will host Athletic, a always complicated rival that has solidly maintained fourth place in the standings, while on matchday 33 the whites must go to the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez in Getafe, where Barça (1-1) and Atlético (2-1) have already stumbled this season.
Just before the Clásico, Madrid must host Celta, a team that already managed to force extra time at Santiago Bernabéu in the controversial cup round of 16 match, resolved by the whites in extra time thanks to refereeing assistance (5-2). After facing Barça, Madrid will play at home against Mallorca, and then travel to another tough venue, Sevilla. Real Sociedad, in Chamartín, will be the last 'merengue' rival.

In the case of Atlético, the 'colchoneros' will try to string together another winning streak as the season closes, with no other competition in dispute and hoping to take advantage of any slip from Barça and Madrid. The schedule is quite comfortable for Diego Simeone's team in the next four matchdays, with home games against Valladolid and Rayo, in addition to two away matches against Las Palmas and Alavés.
On matchday 35, the day of the Clásico, Atleti could take advantage of points at home against Real Sociedad. Osasuna (away), Betis (home), and Girona (away) will be the last three rivals for the 'rojiblancos' in a season where they have already managed to complete a streak of eight consecutive victories that allowed them to close 2024 as leaders of the tournament.
