The rout of FC Barcelona against Real Sociedad (4-0) allowed Hansi Flick's team to maintain the lead in LaLiga and also to expand their impressive offensive records in the 24/25 season.

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona achieved their sixth consecutive victory in LaLiga EA Sports against Real Sociedad (4-0) and the twelfth in 15 appearances this 2025. Goals from Gerard Martín, Marc Casadó, Ronald Araujo, and Robert Lewandowski rounded off a comfortable victory with which Hansi Flick's team maintains the lead in the tournament with 57 points, one more than Atlético de Madrid and three ahead of Real Madrid.

Additionally, the azulgrana team added another rout, reaching 71 goals in La Liga and 124 in all competitions this season. To see a similar performance from Barça, one must go back to the 2016/17 season when the team led by Luis Enrique scored 76 goals in the first 26 matchdays. That year, the culés had three more points (60), but were second behind Madrid (62). In the end, the 'Casa Blanca' would take the title with 93 points, three above the Catalans (90).

Barça, on track for their best scoring season in LaLiga

Previously, in the 2011/12 season, Pep Guardiola's Barça scored 74 goals at this stage of the championship and in the 2014/15 season (the season of the second azulgrana treble), the culés also scored 76 goals in the first 26 matchdays, although defensively, the team had only conceded 16 goals. In the end, Barça closed the season with 21 goals against, four fewer than they have received so far in LaLiga (25).

In the 2016/17 season, Luis Enrique's team finished the tournament with 116 goals scored, four more than the previous season and one above the record set in 12/13, the tournament in which Barça matched the record of 100 points achieved by Real Madrid a year earlier. The 'merengues', however, hold the record for the most goals scored in a league, with 121 goals in the 2011/12 season. Will Hansi Flick's Barça break this impressive record? For now, the culé average is 2.73 goals per match.
