FC Barcelona regained the lead in LaLiga on matchday 24, nine matchdays and 78 days later, thanks to a narrow victory at Montjuïc against Rayo (1-0)
LaLiga has a new leader on matchday 24. For the first time since matchday 15, FC Barcelona returned to the top of the standings thanks to Robert Lewandowski's goal against Rayo (1-0). The Blaugrana's victory, along with draws from Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid against Osasuna (1-1) and Celta de Vigo (1-1), returned the lead to Hansi Flick's team, although the Catalans have the same number of points as the 'merengues' (51).
The goal difference (+40) and the direct confrontation against Madrid (4-0) allows Barça to regain the lead that they had ceded on matchday 15, after losing at home to UD Las Palmas (1-2).
