FC Barcelona lost a League match again after going into half-time trailing by 2 goals. For the culés, coming back away from home is almost an 'impossible mission'

Calendar of FC Barcelona

FC Barcelona's defeat against Osasuna (4-2) confirmed a negative trend for the Barça team in LaLiga. Although the culés usually come back from home games, outside of Catalonia things get much more complicated. And, in 99 previous games, Barça has only managed to win one game when they go to half-time losing by 2 goals, with only 6 draws and 92 defeats with Saturday's match.

Hansi Flick's team began losing due to goals from Ante Budimir and Bryan Zaragoza, the latter preceded by a clear stomp by Torró on Pau Víctor. In the second half, the former striker of the reserve team scored a goal, but again Budimir (from a penalty) and Bretones sealed the local victory, beyond Lamine Yamal's great goal at the end. For Barça, the only victory overcoming a 2-0 draw as a visitor was in 1963 (2-3 against Betis), while the last draw was in 2001 (4-4 against Villarreal).

Osasuna smiled again at home against Barça 12 years later

As for Osasuna, the last time the 'rojillos' scored 4 goals against Barça was in 1984 (4-2). Last season, the culés won by the minimum (1-2), the same result they had achieved in 2022/23. The Barça team did not lose in Pamplona in 2012, with Pep Guardiola on the bench (3-2). The record at El Sadar continues to be positive for the culés, with 17 wins, 14 draws and 12 losses in 43 games.

On Catalan soil, Barça's dominance is overwhelming, with just 5 falls in 43 opportunities. Those from Pamplona defeated Barça at Camp Nou in 2020 (1-2), a duel played without an audience due to the covid-19 pandemic. The revenge on Catalan soil, for the League, will be in March 2025 during matchday 27. A week later, Barça will have a complicated outing against Atlético at the Metropolitano.
