The FC Barcelona has already begun to prepare for the upcoming match on Saturday, November 23 against Celta de Vigo at Balaídos (matchday 14 of LaLiga EA Sports). Under this premise, the Barça team held a final training session before traveling to Vigo, with all internationals available for Hansi Flick. In this context, several names have been under the spotlight, and at FCBN we explain who they are and why.
One of the names that has generated great expectation is that of Lamine Yamal. The right winger for Barça, who is dealing with a physical setback classified as a grade 1 injury in the syndesmosis of the right ankle, with an estimated recovery time of two to three weeks. Despite this, there were reports suggesting that the '19' could at least be available to be part of the bench in the next league match against the Galicians.
However, during Thursday's training session, Lamine Yamal did not train with the rest of his teammates, increasing the likelihood that he will not be part of the squad for the match against Celta de Vigo. It is even asserted that his presence in the lineup for the match on November 26 against Stade Brestois in the UEFA Champions League could also be in doubt. His return to the Blaugrana squad could be for the match against UD Las Palmas on the 30th of this month.
Everything 'OK' with Robert Lewandowski
On the other hand, there seem to be good news regarding Robert Lewandowski, who is recovering from lower back pain. After approximately 10 days since his absence was announced, he appears to be experiencing a significant improvement in his recovery, to the point of having participated in regular training with the group.
His availability for the match against Celta de Vigo should not be in question, and it is expected that he will receive medical clearance soon. Now, it remains to be seen if he is fit to be included in the starting eleven against the Vigo team.
Ferran Torres and Eric García participated in part of the session with the group
Regarding today's training session, it is worth mentioning two players whose recovery is progressing well. Both Ferran Torres, who is recovering from a muscle injury in the right hamstring suffered on October 6, and Eric García, recovering from a setback in the right adductor suffered since October 20, took part in Thursday's training session, although they could only complete part of it with the group.
It will now be important to assess whether they will ultimately be called up for the match against Celta de Vigo. In principle, Eric García seems to have better chances of returning soon, while the call-up of Ferran Torres could be delayed a bit, with his return likely to be either in the match against Stade Brestois (11/26) or against UD Las Palmas (11/30).
Hansi Flick included some Barça B players
Finally, during this training session, Hansi Flick took the opportunity to give activity to several players from Barça B to strengthen the first team, such as Aleix Garrido, Álvaro Cortés, David Oduro, Unai Hernández, and Noah Darvich.
