Hansi Flick hopes to have Dani Olmo on the squad list for the FC Barcelona-Sevilla to be played this Sunday in Montjuïc (9:00 p.m. CEST). The player from Terrassa suffered an injury to the femoral biceps of his right thigh on September 15, against Girona (1-4), but he has overcome the physical discomfort and, according to the sensations revealed in recent training sessions, he should receive the medical discharge on Thursday or Friday.

The '20' has only played 3 games this season, with outstanding performances in each of them. His goals against Rayo, Valladolid and Girona excited Barcelona fans, but the injury suffered in mid-September raised alarm bells about his recurring physical problems in recent seasons. Hence, the Barça technical staff has handled his recovery with great caution and, almost certainly, he will have to start on the bench against Sevilla if, finally, he is ready to play.

Hansi Flick's plan to manage the return of Dani Olmo

In that sense, Flick's plan aims to film Dani in the second part. Maybe about 20-30 minutes, depending on the development of the clash against Seville. García Pimienta's men arrive with an important emotional boost after winning the derby against Betis (1-0) and, on the previous day, they had shown improvement in their visit to San Mamés (1-1 against Athletic).

For Olmo, the priority is to be at his best for next Wednesday's duel against Bayern Munich, for the third day of the league phase of the UEFA Champions League. The week is key for the culés, since the following Saturday they visit Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. Luckily for Flick, along with the one from Terrassa, Fermín López and Gavi can return, although the '6' is the most difficult to get into the squad for the tenth matchday of LaLiga.
