Barça remains unstoppable in LaLiga this 2025, with 10 wins and 2 draws in 12 matches. Flick's team can break another record!
FC Barcelona's victory against Leganés (0-1) brought the team led by Hansi Flick closer to their twenty-eighth League title and another unbeaten record for the 'Azulgranas'. With seven matchdays to go, the Catalans can sign the most successful second half in LaLiga, a record that has been in place for 15 years.
And, in the second half of the tournament, the 'Culés' have added 32 of the 36 points at stake, with a total of 10 wins and only 2 draws. In that period, Barça has scored 29 goals, with only 7 goals conceded. This streak has allowed the team to move four points ahead of Real Madrid, who in January had a seven-point lead.
Hansi Flick's Barça can break another record of Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique
For now, the highest number of points for Barça in a second half of the championship, with the current format, is 50 points in the 2009-10 and 2014-15 seasons. With Pep Guardiola and Luis Enrique on the bench, the 'Culés' added 16 wins, 2 draws and only 1 defeat between January and May. The absolute record in one half of the League is held by Tito Villanova's team, with 55 points in the first half of 2012-13 (18 wins and 1 draw).
In 2009-10, Real Madrid had added 52 points in the second half, the product of 17 wins, 1 draw and 1 defeat. However, Manuel Pellegrini's team (96 points) was not enough to beat Barça (99). In 2003-04, the 'Azulgrana' team also completed a remarkable second half of the season, with 15 wins, 2 draws and only 2 losses to finish second, five points behind Valencia.
This year, Hansi Flick's team has achieved 10 wins and 2 draws in the second half of LaLiga 24-25, enough to come back seven points against Madrid at the end of matchday 20. Getafe and Betis (1-1) are the only teams that have been able to take points from Barça in 2025, where the team remains unbeaten in 24 games (19 wins, 4 draws) in all competitions. With this, the 'Culés' have signed the best start to the year in their history.
