The coronavirus has forced LaLiga and all Spanish football to stop and threatens to prevent the season from resuming soon. Given this panorama, LaLiga could finish this course in four very different ways

Calendar of FC Barcelona

Anybody knows when will be able to go back to play to football in Spain and LaLiga is more in the air that never. The plan is to go back to play in April, although the coronavirus looms with preventing it, since it expects that it go to more in the weeks to come. By this reason, LaLiga and the Real Spanish Federation of Football go to have to decide the future of the championship and of the Second Division. The decision will take on 25 March in a Commission between both organisms.

There are four possible stages to decide what occurs with this campaign in Spain. The first, that is probably the one who all the teams and fans wish, would be to play the days postponed, are those that are, until the month of June. This alone could give if the UEFA suspended the Eurocopa and postponed it until 2021 and, besides, decided that the eliminatory of fourth and 'semis' of Champions League and Europe League are to only party. In this case, LaLiga would have several empty weeks in which can contest the crashes that suspend during this crisis by the coronavirus.

But if this was not possible because the UEFA does not attain to move his calendar or by other reasons, there is other three options. One of them would be to cancel completely the season and that there was not neither champion, neither descents, neither classified for Europe, neither promotions to First, neither at all. This only would give in the case that they have to postpone too many parties by the COVID-19 and can not contest in any date, or directly because the virus do not allow that it can play until final of course.

The third stage would finish with the FC Barcelona like champion of LaLiga. In this case, if the coronavirus does not allow to restart the competition, the championship would remain as it is now so much in Second as in First. The culés would be champions, and Real Madrid, Seville and Real Sociedad would go to Champions League. On the other hand, Athletic of Madrid and Getafe would access to the Europe League and Mallorca, Leganés and Espanyol would descend. Cádiz And Saragossa would go up to First directly, whereas Almería or Huesca, empatados to points, would have to remain with the another square.

Finally, the another alternative if it can not go back to play is to remain with the classification when it finished the first turn. In this case, the Barça also would be champion for having a better difference of goals regarding the Madrid, that empataría to points, but would be second. Athletic of Madrid and Seville would finish in Champions, whereas Real Sociedad and Valencia would play the Europe League. Mallorca, Espanyol and Leganés also would go down, as in the previous case. In Second, Cádiz and Almería would go up of direct form.

Any of the options would leave satisfied to all the clubs

All the options have his pros and contras and, except the first, any will content to all the teams involved. Leave empty LaLiga would mean to command to the fret more than 30 days and leave without prize to Cádiz, Barça or Real Sociedad, that have litigated a lot of crashes for being where are. But on the other hand, with more than 30 points at stake also would be unfair to give by finalised LaLiga now. The Madrid only is to two points to be champion, the Mallorca to one of the permanence or the Getafe brushes the Champions. Besides, this option would bump against the purity of the competition, since no all the teams have confronted against all the same number of times.

The 25 will be when a Commission of LaLiga and the RFEF decide what will occur with LaLiga. Then already it will know what happens with the Eurocopa and the League of Champions, since the UEFA has programmed a meeting for the Tuesday 17. This meeting goes to affect directly to what speak the 25 and could be decisive for the future of the Spanish championship. The coronavirus could command it all to the fret and now only remains to expect and wish that the contagions by the virus descend and can restart the campaign sometime with normality.
