Hansi Flick was happy with the team's reaction against Celta (4-3). The coach highlighted the team's character, but avoided giving details about Lewandowski's physical condition

FC Barcelona came back in an incredible match against Celta de Vigo (4-3), a victory that brings the Barça team closer to the LaLiga title. After the match, Hansi Flick revealed the keys to the culé's triumph, in addition to expressing his satisfaction with the performance of a Barça that keeps the dream of the treble intact.

"I am really happy with how we reacted after 1-3. The team never gives up and that is the mentality", the coach began by saying in the post-match talk with 'DAZN'. In that sense, he admitted the defensive error in the partial 1-2.

"The goal conceded, the second one, is a mistake. I still appreciate the players' response in the final stretch of the match". He also valued the effort made against a very competitive rival. "We have played against a great team. It was no surprise to suffer so much".

For Flick, the key to Barça lies in character

In the subsequent press conference, the coach made clear his satisfaction with the team's character not to give up in any context. "In November, the team had their heads down, but now the feeling is positive (...). Not only in football, but also in business, you have to have a strong mentality".

He also highlighted the power of celebrating another comeback similar to the one at the Metropolitano. "I am very proud and happy. It is not the first, but today has been one of the great comebacks because we are at the end of the season and three more points are very good".

Similarly, he highlighted the contributions of Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo as game-changers. According to Flick, the youngster needed rest, while the attacking midfielder is gradually regaining competitive rhythm.

"After the break we asked him (Lamine) if he was ready to play, and he said yes. Everyone has responsibility for their performance. Dani has a lot of quality and must demonstrate it. That is what we expect, that is what we also see from Pedri", explained the Barça coach.

And, continuing with individual performances, there was also praise for Raphinha. The Brazilian, author of a double and an assist, carried the offensive weight of the team in the second half.

"He is very important and always has a positive thought that infects the rest. I never look at penalties. I crossed my fingers and was very happy to see people celebrating it. I told him that we needed him and he has done a great job", he explained.

Flick, worried about Lewandowski's condition

However, not all was good news for Barça against Celta. Robert Lewandowski left injured with an apparent problem in his left leg. Flick, true to his custom, preferred to wait for the official medical report that will arrive this Sunday.

"We have to wait until tomorrow when they will do tests on him. Then we will know. My experience tells me that we have to wait", said the coach. There was also a warning to the defense for the goals conceded.

"Normally we press well. Today it was easy for the opponents to score those goals. But we never give up and that is the mentality I want. I appreciate how we came back and the players' response", pointed out the Barça coach.
