Hansi Flick made public his anger at the draw against Celta in the press conference after the match, where he said that "we played a really bad game"

Calendar of FC Barcelona

After leaving the Balaídos pitch visibly angry, Hansi Flick spoke to the media at a press conference and made public his 'anger' over the result obtained in Vigo. The German was unhappy with FC Barcelona's performance against Celta and regretted a draw that meant very little.

"It wasn't just the last 10 minutes. It was the whole game. We played a really bad game. We have to be honest"

"We made a lot of mistakes, also in the first half, and we didn't have confidence with the ball. We didn't play the football we're used to. We were lucky with some situations and in the end we got a point and we have to react because it can't be repeated," said the Barça coach.

Along the same lines, Flick said that "these are things that can happen but we have to look forward. The least bad thing is that it's only one game and we got a point but we're not happy and neither are the players. Everyone can play better than today."

Are Koundé and Casadó to blame for the result?

The Barça coach continued his defence by saying that "it is always difficult to play against Celta, who have a good mentality. It was windy but that is no excuse. Sometimes a centimetre can end up being decisive but there was a little less concentration."

"What we saw today is the summary: when you play at 80% or 85% you cannot win. That's what I can say"

Regarding Jules Koundé's error in the 1-2 and the influence of Casadó's expulsion in the 82nd minute just before the two goals of the Celtistas, the German took responsibility away from his two pupils. "It is not Jules' fault alone or the red card for Casadó. It is the whole team that wins and loses but we will return to our level and I hope that what we have seen does not influence Tuesday against Brest," he said.

Flick spoke of two names

When asked about the substitution of Gerard Martín after the break, Flick clarified his decision and left a small message for the full-back, whose game left much to be desired. "I don't make changes based on whether a player has a yellow card or not, but on performance," he commented.

Finally, regarding Gavi's first start more than a year after his injury, the coach praised the Andalusian's performance. "I saw Gavi doing very well. He showed his quality in some situations, showing good mentality. We have gone step by step with him and hopefully he will soon be able to play 90 minutes," he concluded.
