LaLiga and Puma recently presented the 'Orbita Yellow Ball', the official ball of the competition during the winter, with Iñigo Martínez as a guest star
Iñigo Martínez and Dani Carvajal starred in the promotional video for the new LaLiga ball. This is the 'Orbita Yellow Ball', the ball with which all the competition matches will be played during the winter. The ball, designed by Puma, has purple, black and turquoise details on a bright yellow that replaces the traditional white of soccer balls.
The ball will officially debut in Mallorca-Valencia this Friday (20:00 CEST). In the case of FC Barcelona, the culés will debut the winter ball on Saturday against Las Palmas in Montjuïc (1:00 p.m. CEST), a duel where Iñigo once again points to the culé XI. The one from Ondarroa has been a starter in 13 of the 14 League matches played so far (he was only substituted against Alavés), being one of the great surprises of the team led by Hansi Flick.

The Basque center-back began the preseason in July with his future in doubt, but he managed to earn the starting place by taking advantage of the absences due to injury to Ronald Aaraújo and Andreas Christensen, in addition to getting along wonderfully with Pau Cubarsí. In principle, the '5' could renew for one more year, as long as he manages to maintain the level of the first part of the season during the second part.
LaLiga praises Iñigo Martínez at the launch of its new ball
In its promotional video, the top Spanish football competition justified with praise the choice of the two defenders who were the protagonists of the launch of the 'Orbita Yellow Ball'. "The ball that gives you the strength of Dani Carvajal and the precision of Íñigo Martínez," describes the bosses in the video released this Wednesday. In the first 14 days of the tournament, the Barça centre-back leads the statistics of passes made (1,170) and passes completed (1,067), followed by his teammate Cubarsí.
LaLiga has used winter balls for two decades during the winter. The 2004/05, with the remembered Total 90 Aerow Winter Ball by Nike, was the first season to implement this measure. With Puma, the employer has a contract until 2029 and has maintained the tradition of launching yellow balls from the end of November to the end of February, approximately.
