Javier Tebas clarifies why LaLiga has not been suspended

LaLiga announced on Tuesday that the next two match days will be played behind closed doors, but there are several voices calling for the definitive postponement of the games. Javier Tebas has clarified why the competition has not been suspended because of coronavirus
The coronavirus has converted finally in an enemy for the world of the sport, and in Spain already are taking measured for salvaguardar the physical integrity of all the involved in the sportive events programmed. "In front of the different public communications made by distinct entities requesting the suspension of the competition, LaLiga wants to manifest that from the start of this situation has been still in all moment the guidelines established by the sanitary authorities and the CSD.
The Ministry of Health and the CSD, in his quality of garantes of the health of fans, players, employed of clubs, journalists, etc, have considered like sufficient preventive measure celebrate the competition to enclosed door and LaLiga, as it can not be of another way, acts in consequence.
In this situation, LaLiga is in constant communication with the authorities and will be still in all moment the recommendations of the same".
Besides, Thebes has insisted in that further to look after the health of all, LaLiga has to take into account also the economic integrity of the competition: "From LaLiga have to act with responsibility and in absolute coordination with the public authorities that watch, take care by the health of ALL the citizens in these moments complicated. Spain does not follow, for the moment, the example of Italy
As it has explained Thebes, Spain will not follow for the moment the example of Italy, that has opted by drastic decisions to contain the epidemic.
