With 25 goals, Lewandowski regains his lead over Mbappé by 3 goals, following Barça's thrashing of Girona (4-1)
After the completion of matchday 29 of LaLiga 24-25, the top scorers ranking is still led by Robert Lewandowski of FC Barcelona, who maintains his lead with 25 goals over Kylian Mbappé of Real Madrid, who now has 22 goals. The Polish player regained his 3-goal advantage thanks to the brace he scored in Barça's thrashing of Girona (4-1).
'Lewy' restored the lead for the azulgrana team in the 61st minute with a 'crack' finish, anticipating Gazzaniga with an acrobatic shot to bring down a good cross from Fermín López to the heart of the area. The '9' managed to finish by stretching his left leg, slipping the ball between the legs of the Argentine goalkeeper. Later, in the 77th minute, Robert took advantage of a good filtered pass from Frenkie de Jong to dribble past a defender coming in from the left and blast Gazzaniga with a powerful shot, making it 3-1.
This is how the top scorers table of LaLiga stands after matchday 29
Player | Team | Goals |

Vedat Muriqi | Mallorca | 7 |
Thus, the ranking of top scorers of LaLiga EA Sports 2024/25 keeps Robert Lewandowski as the leader (25), still with a three-goal advantage over Kylian Mbappé (22). The '9' of Real Madrid had closed the gap to the Pichichi with a brace in the disgraceful victory against Leganés (3-2), scoring a penalty and a free kick preceded by non-existent fouls.
Both forwards scored in the match against Atlético (1) and Villarreal (2), respectively. Lewandowski took advantage of the postponed match of matchday 27 against Osasuna (1) to regain the three-goal lead over the Frenchman, who also scored a goal against Rayo that day. Thus, the head-to-head between the two '9' promises to be exciting until the end of LaLiga, as well as the fight for the title between Barça and Madrid.
Behind Lewandowski and Mbappé is Ante Budimir (Osasuna), with 15 goals after playing only half an hour against Barça. The Croatian has two more than Raphinha and Oihan Sancet (Athletic). With 12 goals is now Ayoze Pérez (Villarreal), while Dodi Lukebakio (Sevilla) and Kike García (Alavés) remain with 11, just like Julián Álvarez and Alexander Sorloth.
Ferran and Lamine Yamal climb the scorers' table
Further down the top scorers ranking, with 10 goals, is Vinicius Jr. (Real Madrid), while now, there are three players tied with 9 goals. Ferran Torres, Thierno Barry (Villarreal) and Javi Puado scored in the match, thus surpassing Mauro Arambarri (Getafe), Sandro Ramírez (Las Palmas), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Antoine Griezmann (Atlético), Iago Aspas (Celta) and Fábio Silva (Las Palmas).
The 'Shark' closed the rout against Girona with a remarkable finish in the 86th minute, leaving Krejci behind after a good pass from the side by Gerard Martín to finish low against Gazzaniga. For the Valencian, it was his 15th goal of the season in all competitions.
The other 'crack' of Barça who took advantage of matchday 28 to score was Lamine Yamal. The player from Mataró scored from a free kick in the 43rd minute the first azulgrana goal, although LaLiga initially credited it as an own goal by Krejci. With this, the young player was able to match Dani Olmo, Giovany Lo Celso (Betis), Hugo Duro (Valencia) and Vedat Muriqi (Mallorca).
