The Real Madrid board completed its return to the LaLiga Delegated Commission this Thursday. Several years later, Florentino Pérez resumes his place in a powerful organ

Florentino Pérez managed to regain Real Madrid's position within the LaLiga Delegated Commission, a body of the employers' association with great weight in Spanish football, since the points that are subsequently approved in the Club Assembly are debated there. The 'White House' had been away for several years as a result of Florentivo's bad relationship with Javier Tebas, whom the 'merengue' president has been trying to disable for months.

Madrid managed to return to the Delegated Commission thanks to the support of Real Sociedad and Valladolid, clubs that have now ratified their opposition to the measures that Tebas seeks to implement as part of the new business model of Spanish football. The relationship between Madrid and LaLiga has deteriorated greatly after the failed launch of the European Super League, an issue that keeps several legal battles open between the employers' association and the 'merengue' team.

In that sense, Tebas sees Madrid's return to the most important body of LaLiga as a setback, although the leader hopes to maintain majority support so that his future projects are approved. In recent seasons, Florentino always denounced not having a "voice or vote" in LaLiga's decisions, raising his voice in protest at the employers' association meetings. Now, at least until 2026 (the commission is renewed every two years), the 'White House' will have direct participation in the future of the tournament.

Real Madrid will be a member of the Delegate Commission

In addition to Javier Tebas, the committee's board of directors is made up of Miguel Ángel Gil Marín (president of Atlético de Madrid) as first vice president and Joan Ander Ulaiza Garetxana (counselor of Eibar), as second vice president. For their part, Real Madrid, Sevilla, Real Betis, Deportivo Alavés, Rayo Vallecano and Las Palmas will be members along with Sporting de Gijón, Cádiz, Tenerife, Real Zaragoza, Burgos and Almería (from the Second Division). At the moment, FC Barcelona remains outside the organization, because, as in previous years, it has not even presented candidates in the corresponding elections.
