LaLiga Gives the OK to the new formats of Supercopa of Spain and Glass of Rey

There is agreement. The presidents of LaLiga and of the RFEF, Javier Thebes and Luis Rubiales, would have arrived to a point of consensus in the approval of the new formats of the Glass of Rey and the Supercopa of Spain, that will begin to play from this next season 2019-20. LaLiga, like this, accepts the proposals of Luis Rubiales and the 'Final Four' of the Supercopa, as it advanced the Chain BE and have confirmed other means.

Besides, regarding the Agreement of Coordination, that expires on 30 June, Rubiales and Thebes find for the time being in a meeting point to expand it by four years more. The same sucede in the cases of the 'naming' and of the balloon, that will keep on being managed by LaLiga.

This yes, still seems that there is not consensus in the schedules of the parties of the next season. And it is that the RFEF of Rubiales opone to that play split the Mondays, whereas LaLiga keeps his wish to be still in that it keep on being like this. Regarding the parties of the Fridays, the Federation would have accepted the proposal of LaLiga in return of 33 million euros in the agreement between both entities, as it has aimed in the last hours the journalist Isaac Fouto.

In this sense, is so only question of days -or of hours- that arrive to a definite agreement also regarding the schedules of the parties of the next campaign 2019-20, after it have announced also this Tuesday that the draw of the calendar of LaLiga and of Second Division will carry out next Thursday 4 July.

Revolution in Supercopa and Glass of Rey

Going back to the new formats of Glass of Rey and Supercopa of Spain, approved already by LaLiga, fits to remember that they will bump frontalmente with what came doing in the last seasons. The Glass of the King will be formed by 20 teams of First, 22 of Second, 32 of Third and 28 of Second B, in eliminatory of the KO to a party until the round of semifinals.

Regarding the Supercopa of Spain, will contest it the champion of Glass of the King against the runner-up of League and the champion of League against the runner-up of Glass. Like the FC Barcelona repeats in these two last terms, the Real Madrid would finish including in some hypothetical semifinals in front of the Barça, after having remained semifinalist in Glass and third in League the past season 2018-19. What desconoce is where will play this individual 'Final Four', something still for determining.
