Lamine Yamal shared a photo of his left foot covered in blood after Barça's victory over Las Palmas (0-2). The winger added a 'jab' at Cordero Vega for his refereeing.
FC Barcelona defeated Unión Deportiva Las Palmas (0-2) in a match marked by the poor refereeing performance of Adrián Cordero Vega. The Cantabrian referee allowed the locals to play aggressively all night, resulting in a rough and unappealing match that the azulgrana team managed to resolve with two stunning goals from Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres in the second half. After the match, Lamine Yamal posted a photo on Instagram Stories highlighting the toughness allowed by the refereeing in Gran Canaria.
The player from Mataró posted an image of his left foot covered in blood, accompanied by the phrase ¡No es falta! (It's not a foul!) The winger added three emojis, with smiling faces and another one covering its face. The injury to '19' was caused by a brutal stomp from Álex Muñoz in the 59th minute, in an action where Dário Essugo also impacted the Barça youth player with a push from behind.

Although the main referee Cordero Vega was close to the action, he didn't even call a foul that clearly deserved a yellow card for the Canarian defender. In total, the locals committed 13 fouls in the match, but only Álex Suárez received a yellow card in the 80th minute for claiming a penalty handball by Eric García. Amid the controversy over the handball that was ultimately not sanctioned due to a prior offside, Frenkie de Jong was also cautioned, who was ready to come on for Pedri.
Cordero Vega only called three fouls on Lamine Yamal
Fortunately for Barça, Lamine was able to continue after the harsh stomp from Muñoz, although he lay on the grass for several seconds due to the pain in his left foot. Four minutes later, the '19' assisted Dani Olmo to create the first azulgrana goal. In that same play, the winger suffered a clear foul, but he recovered from the push of a rival to continue the play that ended in a stunning goal from the Egarense.
Despite the constant fouls from his opponents, Yamal only generated three favorable fouls for Barça. This explains why he lost 8 of 20 individual duels, although he completed 8 dribbles in 13 attempts, as well as 23 of 33 passes and 3 passes in the final third. Just before Olmo's goal, the youth player had intercepted a pass to Raphinha, but the Brazilian arrived too pressured to head the ball.
