FC Barcelona closed a golden week with a well-deserved victory at the Santiago Bernabéu against Real Madrid (0-4). The culés made use of Robert Lewandowski's double in the second half to give a new blow of authority in the tournament, moving away to 6 points behind the 'merengues' in the lead.
'Lewy', for his part, also moves further away from Kylian Mbappé in the fight for the Pichichi. The '9' already has 14 goals in 11 games, while the Frenchman, jinxed by offsides and the timely interventions of Iñaki Peña, is still stuck on 6 goals (3 penalties).
The one from Warsaw had a difficult first half, with little impact on the Barça game. A cue assist to Lamine Yamal that the '19' couldn't take advantage of to finish against Lunin was his only offensive contribution before the break. In the second half, after the entry of Frenkie de Jong, the striker found more space and did not take long to assert his usual forcefulness inside the area.
Lewandowski led the culé victory with a double in less than 3 minutes
The opening of the scoring came in the 54th minute. Robert poked into space after a great pass from Marc Casadó and, thanks to the late departure of Ferland Mendy, he was fully able to finish in the one-on-one against Lunin, adjusting his right-footed shot to the base of the post.
The goal shocked Madrid and, in the 56th minute, it was 0-2, this time with a notable header from the Pole. Frenkie enabled Balde on the left and the full-back put a perfect cross directly to the head of the '9', who arrived free between Militao and Rüdiger to cross his shot and leave Lunin with no options. There was only 141 seconds of difference between both goals, being the fastest double by a culé player against Madrid since Futé, in December 1965.
Lewandowski even had the luxury of wasting two very clear chances in the following minutes, with a shot against the post when he only had to push it towards the goal and another high shot, this time after a good pass from Lamine. Luckily for Barça, Yamal finished the game with a great goal in the 77th minute and Raphinha closed the score in the 84th minute.
With his double, the player from Warsaw became the third oldest player to score a double in the history of the Classics, at 36 years and 66 days old. Only Puskás (36 years and 257 days) and Di Stéfano (36 years and 88 days) achieved this feat at an older age.
