Robert Lewandowski led FC Barcelona's beating of Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (0-4) with his first double in LaLiga Clásicos. The '9' also reached 14 goals in the tournament and leaves as Pichichi
FC Barcelona crushed Real Madrid in the first Clásico of the season (0-4) with a notable display of play and forcefulness at the Santiago Bernabéu. Robert Lewandowski was chosen, once again, with the 'MVP' of the match thanks to the double he scored in the second half, in just 141 seconds.
The Pole opened the scoring in the 54th minute with a remarkable right-footed finish against Lunin, after a pass into space by Marc Casadó. The '9' culé was able to do what the 'merengue' offensive trident never managed all night: break the offside against a very advanced defense. Ferland Mendy stayed hooked, looking after Lamine, and 'Lewy' did not forgive in the one-on-one.
With Madrid in shock after 0-1, Robert's second came in the 56th minute, this time with a relentless header to the far post defended by Lunin. Balde crossed from the left and the man from Warsaw appeared between the Madrid centre-backs to finish at will.

Lewandowski broke his drought in League Classics
For the 36-year-old forward, his double allowed him to reach 14 goals in 11 LaLiga games. Not in vain, the '9' has been scoring at least a couple of goals for three consecutive days (3 against Alavés, 2 against Sevilla and 2 against Madrid), thus signing his best start to the season as a culé.
In addition, Lewandowski broke a streak of four Clásicos without scoring in LaLiga. The Pole had scored against Carlo Ancelotti's team in the Spanish Super Cup (2), but had failed to score in his first four games against the 'White House' in the Spanish First Division.
For 'Lewy', his last goal at the Santiago Bernabéu had been in 2017, with the Bayern Munich shirt. It was in the quarterfinals of the 2016/17 Champions League when, curiously, 'Carletto' led the Bavarian team.
