Real Madrid confirmed this Thursday the injury of Rodrygo Goes, who is certain to be out for the Clásico against FC Barcelona this Saturday. The winger will be out for three weeks due to a problem in his right thigh
Rodrygo Goes will not play in Saturday's Clásico against FC Barcelona. As announced on Wednesday, the 23-year-old winger suffers a muscle injury to his right femoral biceps that was finally confirmed by Real Madrid on Thursday morning, along with his estimated time out.
According to the club's medical report, the Brazilian will be out of action for at least 20 days. In that sense, the '11' could return within 3 weeks, probably for the duel against Leganés (in Butarque) to be played on November 24.
Rodrygo would also not travel with Brazil for the matches against Venezuela (14) and Uruguay (19), both corresponding to the double round of South American qualifiers that will be played in mid-November. With Madrid, in addition to the Clásico, they will be away against Valencia, AC Milan (Champions) and Osasuna.
The Brazilian's injury adds to that of Thiabut Courtois, who will also not be available on Saturday due to an injury to his left thigh that will keep him out for two to three weeks. For this reason, Andriy Lunin will start the next four games for the 'White House'.

Ancelotti loses one of his 'rockets' for the Classic
For Carlo Ancelotti, the loss of the Sao Paulo player translates into the loss of one of his 'rockets' to try to hurt the culé defense. The Italian coach has opted to put Rodrygo and Vinicius on the wings, with Kylian Mbappé as '9'.
Although the 'merengue' team has not yet managed to display much less attractive football this season, verticality and speed on the counterattack continue to be their best weapons. Without the '11' available, 'Carletto' will probably opt to populate the midfield, placing Jude Bellingham as the 'false 9' and Eduardo Camavinga in the double pivot alongside Aurélien Tchouaméni.
Fede Valverde, once again, will be the team's 'all-rounder', lending a hand in the recovery and approaching the offensive trident to try to do damage with some mid-distance shots. There should be no surprises on the wings, again with Lucas Vázquez and Ferland Mendy from the start, while Éder Militao and Antonio Rüdiger will defend the center of the defense.
