OFFICIAL: The Barça-Osasuna match of matchday 27 will be played on Saturday the 8th at 21:00

FC Barcelona already knows when and at what time they will face Osasuna in matchday 27 of LaLiga EA Sports. The match against the 'rojillos' will come in the middle of the round of 16 Champions League tie against Benfica, where Hansi Flick's team must first travel to Lisbon on Wednesday, March 5, and then, six days later, on Tuesday the 11th, close the tie at home against the 'eagles' in Montjuïc. Taking into account the European calendar, the league announced this Sunday the dates and times for matchday 27.

In the case of the Barça-Osasuna match, it is scheduled for Saturday, March 8 at 21:00. The azulgrana team will have only three days of rest before both matches against Benfica, as they must first host Real Sociedad on Sunday the 2nd at 16:15 CEST. The match against the donostiarras was originally scheduled for Saturday the 1st, but LaLiga replaced it with the Betis-Real Madrid match due to the dispute of the Madrid derby in the Champions round of 16.

In this sense, Real Madrid and Atlético de Madrid will play on Sunday, March 9 against Rayo (home) and Getafe (away), respectively. The 'colchoneros' will go to Coliseum Alfonso Pérez at 14:15, while the 'merengues' will play at the Bernabéu starting at 16:15. The second Champions derby will take place on Wednesday the 12th at the Metropolitano, eight days after the first leg in Chamartín (Tuesday the 4th).

Barça will seek revenge against Osasuna in matchday 27

For Barcelona, matchday 27 represents another opportunity to face one of the teams that managed to defeat them in the first half of the season. The match in Pamplona ended with a local victory (4-2) thanks to goals from Ante Budimir (two goals), Bryan Zaragoza, and Abel Bretones. Pau Víctor and Lamine Yamal scored for the culés in a match with controversial refereeing from Cuadra Fernández and Pizarro Gómez (VAR).

Last season, Barça defeated Osasuna in Montjuïc by the minimum (1-0). A solitary goal from Vitor Roque in the 63rd minute gave the azulgrana team three points in matchday 20. Xavi Hernández's team finished second, with 85 points and ten behind Madrid (95). Both teams also faced each other in the 'semis' of the Supercopa de España 2024, with a culé victory of 2-0 with goals from Lamine and Lewandowski.
