Pedri, Candidate for Player of the Month in LaLiga EA Sports

LaLiga EA Sports has once again included Pedri González among the nominees for the monthly awards it gives to recognize different categories. This time, the organization chaired by Javier Tebas has listed the '8' as one of the candidates to win the award for Most Valuable Player of the month of April in the local competition.

The player from Tegueste, a key piece in Hansi Flick's scheme, receives this nomination after playing two matches so far this month: matchday 30 against Real Betis (1-1) at Montjuïc and matchday 31 in Butarque against CD Leganés (0-1). Although he has not scored or assisted in these matches, his impact in other facets of the game has been crucial for his team.

Pedri González, waiting to increase his statistics in the upcoming duels against Celta de Vigo (04/19) and RCD Mallorca (04/22), will compete with four other players for this recognition. The Canary Islander's rivals in this contest are Giorgi Mamardashvili (Valencia CF), Javi Puado and Sergi Darder (RCD Espanyol), and Julián Álvarez (Atlético de Madrid).

Surprisingly, this is the only category in which LaLiga EA Sports has nominated a player from FC Barcelona. In the other four categories there is no representation of the Barça players, despite the extraordinary moment the club is experiencing, which remains firmly at the top of the competition with 70 points.
