Pedri came out again with a great goal to remember against Sevilla

Pedri González once again led the FC Barcelona midfield with a great performance against Sevilla (5-1). The culés crushed the Seville team with three goals in the first half, one of them scored by Tegueste.

In the 28th minute, the Tenerife native recovered a ball in his own half to start a lethal Barça counterattack. He then gave the ball to Lewandowski, who set up Lamine Yamal with a ball into space. The winger held on on the right until he caught Pedri's arrival in the center.

Without thinking twice, the midfielder hit a perfect right foot, straight into the top corner, to make it 2-0 and unleash madness on Montjuïc. Of Barça's five goals, that was the most shouted by Hansi Flick due to the conception of the play and the definition of the '8'.

Pedri released all his magic against Sevilla

With the game resolved before half-time thanks to Lewandowski's double, Barça flourished in the second half, with the '8' keeping the pace of the Barça machine. The Spanish international was close to adding an assist with two exquisite passes into space to Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, but both failed to finish.

Even so, Pedri completed a real great game where he barely missed 2 passes in 70 attempts (97% success), with 7 balls recovered and 8 of 9 accurate long passes. Flick gave him a rest in the 83rd minute for Gavi to enter, the most emotional moment of the night in Montjuïc.

Sunday's goal was the midfielder's third goal of the season (all in LaLiga), a tournament where he also provided an assist against Villarreal. Against Sevilla he was supposed to play a little further forward, but Eric García's injury and the entry of Ansu Fati made him fall back again to give a hand to Marc Casadó. Even so, the man from Tenerife was able to shine and shows that, at this moment, he is once again one of the best in the world in the midfield.
